Clay: He's been using casually..just enough to keep him sane and I guess..today he snapped

Melanie: I'm not. (looks to Monty and at everyone else) I'm not going to go easy on him. (walks off to the vending machines)

Alex: (follows her) who the hell knows. Last time I didn't know why either.

Chloe: We need to figure out a plan to make sure this doesn't fly.

Jeff: being dirty?

Deni: I've told my mom about what happened, she spoke to his mother and last night Bryce was brought in to the hospital for injuries he said were sustained in an unprovoked attack at a party. (bites her lip)

SHERI | :
( starts to talk until a bunch of doctors and nurses start running
towards the rooms)

KAT | :
( gets in the car. ) this is not good.

ZACH | :
( feels like he's going to throw up) do you think that's Justin?

VALENTINA | :
HMM, maybe just a little.

MONTY | :
( walks to Melanie.) alright the one time I'm gonna be good with
the guy and you're not going to take it easy on him?

Clay: (jumps up and tries to run down the hall)

Melanie: I told him not to leave me. He promised he wouldn't leave me. I get raped and he tries to leave me when I need him? I can't do that, Monty.I can't sit here worried about if he's going to kill himself with drugs. I can't. (starts to cry) I need him in a different way than you, but still important. And he chose drugs over talking to me. He chose this over us and I..(chokes on her words) I'm not enough for him. And he told me if it ever is too much, to tell him to leave. What do I- (sniffs) what if he dies? That idiot. I hate him.

Alex: It fucking isn't. At all. (gets in the car buckling up)

Chloe: (holds onto him) don't think about that. We'll believe it isn't. We will believe he's okay.

Jeff: I don't mind a little dirt.

NURSE BEHIND THE DESK | :
EXCUSE ME SIR, YOU CAN'T COME THIS WAY
( goes after him. )

SHERI | :
that's his brother! what's going on??

NURSE | :
Mr Foley is having a seizure.

KAT | :
( drives off to the hospital ) I hope your mother is able to tell
us what's going on.

ZACH | :
seizure??? ( grabs Chloes hand, following Clay ) fuck this
we can't wait around.

VALENTINA | :
I'll remember this when you ever need a car fixing and come
to the shop.

MONTY | :
I understand that. But if he's having PTSD about the shit that has
happened with the other girls, I don't think he did this on purpose
( hears the nurse saying justin was having a seizure ) do you want
to go?

Clay: he needs me then (keeps going)

Melanie: if I leave I'm horrible. I cant leave.

Alex: she will be vague enough to not tell all his business

Chloe: holy crap

Jeff: I will only let you do it

SHERI | :
( feels her tears building up ) Clay they're not going to let you in
the room!

SECURITY | :
( runs after them, stopping Clay from going into the room )
sir, they are trying to revive him, you need to stay here.

KAT | :
SHIT ( keeps driving until they get to the hospital ; parks the
car and gets out, rushing in with him )

ZACH | :
REVIVE? HES DEAD? ( throws up in the nearest trash can )

VALENTINA | :
it's like roleplay ( laughs. )

MONTY | :
( hears Zach shouting he's dead and looks at Melanie )
He needs you, like you need him. Right now

Clay: fuck you. I'm the only family he has. He cant be even close to dead without me there.

Melanie: what am I supposed to do? I cant go in there, they wont even let clay in

Alex: (runs in and hears this chaos) no

Chloe: (rushes over and runs his back) I've seen this. Sometimes their heart stops and they just need a boost to keep going.

Jeff: pervert (laughs)

SHERI | :
( covers her face, crying into her hands and just praying he
makes it out alive )

KAT | :
( walks in with him, holding his hand tight once she hears
what happened ) oh god, no ...

ZACH | :
( throws up heavily again ) this can't be happening .

VALENTINA | :
You know you like it .

MONTY | :
( shakes his head, getting a bit upset ) it's nice of you to get all
pissed off and see to want to shut off now , when you've been fighting
about him and shit . And now that I am here, trying to make peace
with the guy after the shit he's been through and he is practically
DEAD right now and you're suddenly just whatever about it ? The Melanie I know
that loves the douche, wouldn't give a shit about who tells her no, and do
what she feels like ( shakes his head again ) I don't fucking get it ... ( sees Alex's
mom leave Justin's room, and turns towards the room to listen )

NURSE STANDALL | :
( walks out of the room, taking off her mask and gloves; notices Alex and
smiles a little; looks around at everyone ) I just want you to know that Justin is
okay . He had a seizure which lead to a lot of foaming from the mouth. We tried
to lay him on his stomach to throw it up but the seizures got worse . His body
stopped working for him after we tried to stop the seizures . His lungs didn't want
to work for him and we noticed that he didn't have any brain waves. We gave him CPR
but it wasn't working . We injected Naloxone into his system because Naloxone is
supposed to reverse the use of the heroine he was shooting into his system..
Justin was dead for a good 3 minutes but once the medicine kicked in and Justin
probably realised he need to be in this world, he came back to life . Right now,
he has a breathing tube down his throat. He's not awake, but he should be able to
hear you . We need to keep him here for some time to make sure that he will be okay .

Clay: when can we see him?

Melanie: maybe old Melanie broke when bryce ruined her ( wipes at her face before walking away, going outside to be alone)

Alex: but hes okay. That's what matters

Chloe: thank god (takes a deep breathe)

Jeff: keeps me on my toes

Deni: damn it Monty. (Shakes her head as she hears them and drags him over to the group) when he is ready for Mel to see him, alone, then talk to her. (Gives him a look to challenge her) sit down and wait your turn.

NURSE STANDALL | :
You guys can go in small groups so you don't overwhelm him
whether he's awake or not . I'll be around if you guys need me.

SHERI | :
Do you want to go in first ? I can go with you, Clay .

KAT | :
( lets out a breath she's been holding in ) thank you Alex's mom.

NURSE STANDALL | :
( smiles ) you're dating my son, sweetie. Call me Carolyn ( looks
at Alex, walking towards him and Kat ) whatever issues you and Justin
has had in the past . Maybe today can be the day that you guys
put away your differences and hopefully become actual friends .
After today, he is going to need everyone in his life to help him stay
afloat .

ZACH | :
( wipes his mouth ) Clay, you go first . We can all wait . You're his family.

VALENTINA | :
Ohhhh I can even where like, little shorts and the tightest wifebeata ( giggles )

MONTY | :
( narrows his eyes at her and shakes his head ) whatever . Right now I am actually
pissed off but happy that the kid is alive , so don't piss me off even more .

Clay: yeah I want to go. (Walks down the hall)

Melanie: (sits outside and looks at her phone before chunking it out into the parking lot) fuck you useless phone.

Alex: shes just mom to me. Even gives advice at random about mending fences

Chloe: (looks st zach) I can go grab you one if those little cups of water. (Walks over to the water fountain)

Jeff: (laughs) plotting against me now?

Deni: go ahead and be mad. I'm going to sit outside and wait until everyone else visits. (Walks outside as Mel chunks the phone) not the best option I'm sure. (Sits down)

Melanie: he doesn't get it. I kept myself from falling apart for them, when I want to just never leave my room. And yes I'm mad Justin did what he did. He promised he would never leave and he tried anyway. I could have lost him..its my fault because I'm an idiot. Justin is better off without me around. My brother choked him, ran him off and then I fucking triggered his PTSD. I love him but I wont help him die because of jt.

SHERI | :
( walks with him down the hall to be there for him )

JUSTIN | :
( laying in bed, slowly opening his eyes the minute Clay and Sheri
walk into the room )

KAT | :
( watches Nurse Standall walk behind the desk; looks at Alex )
she's nice. What's your opinion on what she said ?

ZACH | :
( nods and sits next to Monty on the bench ) this has just
been a shit week, man.

VALENTINA | :
( laughs ) I'll go clean up and then come to you ?

MONTY | :
Yeah, you're telling me ( shakes his head )

Clay: you have Clay radar Justin? (Walks over to the bed) scared the hell out of me. I carried you to the car out of pure adrenaline you would have laughed

Melanie: I'm a horrible person. Plain as that.

Alex: making amends with Justin? I mean we arent rivals anymore

Chloe: (grabs the water and brings it over) here (sits down) are we missing some people?

Jeff: I will be here waiting for you

Deni: you're not horrible. You're emotional and confused at how to feel. You want to fight out of anger and cry out of despair. That's normal Mel. Especially after what you have been through. Dont hate Monty for not understanding it. He just now understands your love for Justin.

JUSTIN | :
( looks at Clay then at the Nurse who was writing Justin's vital
signs on his clipboard; points to his mask )

NURSE | :
( sighs and takes it off ) I suppose you'll be okay without this
( pushes his bed up to give him a cup of water to sip from; looks
at Clay and Sheri ) please don't stress him out, okay? Or I will be
forced to remove you all from the hospital ( leaves out of the room )

SHERI | :
bitch ( rolls her eyes and sits on the edge of Justin's bed, helping
with the water ) You died Justin ..

JUSTIN | :
( says hoarsely barely in a whisper ) I am sorry.

KAT | :
( nods ) I know I hated him, and now I feel so bad .

ZACH | :
( takes it and drinks some, then uses the rest to rinse his
mouth out )

VALENTINA | :
( hangs up ) alright Uncle Mac, I need to go. But I will be back
tomorrow for some more lessons ! Later Jax ! ( goes home to
go shower then drives off to the school )

MONTY | :
( looks at Chloe ) my sister and Deni went outside . And Sheri went with
Clay to go see Justin .

Clay: I think she was directing that to me. I cussed the nurses out and tried to run down the hall. I regret none of it by the way. (Clears his throat) about everyone is out there waiting to see how you are. You scared all of us.

Melanie: (walks back in after awhile with Deni, sitting down quietly)

Alex: well he and I can both say we won the fight alive

Chloe: (gets comfortable) i noticed Alex was here. That was surprising considering the history.

Jeff: (sits back down and waits for her)

JUSTIN | :
I didn't mean to, Clay .. I swear. It was by accident . I took too much.
I know I was supposed to stop. Once an addict, always an addict.
Just ask my mom and Meth Seth. I didn't realize I shot up more than
I normally do, just to get the high.. Last night I couldn't sleep .
And everything was going in my head . Like a movie... Between
the 3 girls and I couldn't take it anymore . Is Mel here?

SHERI | :
Yeah, she is. Everyone is. Even Monty.

KAT | :
God gave you guys second chances for a reason . You guys
still have a long road ahead of you . Lots of things you can
achieve .

ZACH | :
I'll be back . Keep Monty company ( walks over to Melanie and sits
down next to her ) how are you feeling ?

VALENTINA | :
( parks her car in the parking lot and walks into the school where
he would be )

MONTY | :
( looks at Chloe ) you don't have to stay with me.

Clay: we have to figure it out Justin because you cant do this again. Ask anyone how crazy I got. I scare nurses. And yeah she is here. She came with Monty who doesnt hate you right now which is a big thing. I think they were arguing, their voices carry.

Melanie: no. (Looks at him) are you?

Alex: I shot myself. And forgot why I did it. We are messed up kids

Chloe: yet here I am. What's got you pissed? I remember the look

Jeff: (looking for her and waves)

JUSTIN | :
I know .. I know we do . And Monty ? Wow.. ( shakes his head )
she must hate me right now .

KAT | :
( sighs ) and it's all because of one person . Bryce . Bryce is
the reason for everything .

ZACH | :
Not really ( shakes his head ) my stomach is literally empty . I
threw up ... And then when Alex's mom told us that Justin died ..
And was dead for some minutes, my heart stopped. I swear. Clay is
in there with him right now . Him and Sheri .

VALENTINA | :
( smiles, walking over and kisses him ) hey handsome .

MONTY | :
Melanie .. Deni .They both pissed me off pretty much .

Clay: she seemed..lost. kinda like the look you had when I got home last night. I heard about what happened to her. I'm sorry.

Melanie: I've shut down. And monty is mad at me for it because I always fight. If I show emotion right now they will tie me to a bed or ship me away. (Shrugs) I'm happy we have you as a friend Ach. You've got a good heart

Alex: essentially. But you know how many of those affected by him blame themselves first?

Chloe: well I figured mel was kinda out of it because of everything. Justin was like that when we dropped him off. Just wanted to leave and go home.

Jeff: my savior (squeezes her)

JUSTIN | :
After you were so happy coming home and telling me how
you did it and finally had a girlfriend, I didn't want to take
away your happiness and tell you what happened .

SHERI | :
You wouldn't have taken away his happiness, Justin. He would
always be there to listen. And if you would've told him, maybe you
would've avoided all of this .

JUSTIN | :
To be honest, I wouldn't have Sheri . I see the visions . I wanted them
to stop .

KAT | :
Because he's such a toxic person, that is why.

ZACH | :
I try to see the good in people and wish everyone else would
have the same mentality . You and Justin. You're not like him & Hannah,
or him & Jessica. I don't know what's going on with you two .... Chloe
tries to tell me to mind my business. But I saw something here, when it was
you being here. And seeing him with you. I've never seen the guy look at
any other girl like that before. And trust me, the only one he actually
loved was Jessica. But it was a different look mixed with all that he's
feeling . Justin is broken, you're broken .. Clay is broken. Alex
is broken ... But we are all a family that tries to push those broken
pieces together so that we can all finally be happy.

VALENTINA | :
( giggles and wraps her arms around his neck ) boring huh ?

MONTY | :
( looks at her ) look, I know I sell ... I know that you know . But whatever
shit he gets, and I don't know from where.. But I swear that it wasn't
anything I sell . And Clay needs to go and find where he has his stash
and flush it .. Every bit of it . Any trace of it, that kid is going to start
back up .

Clay: We both know how we are Justin, we share a room and a house. I could have still been happy, just concerned about you. This was worse than telling me about what happened at the party. Everyone say how I was after Hannah, then Sky tried to kill herself and we almost lost Jeff. I'm always waiting for someone to disappear. But I get why you just wanted the thoughts to stop. But drugs isn't going to fix it.

Melanie: Am I any better than Jessica? My choices put us in a situation where I got raped and just triggered those memories again. It is my fault that he did this. What if every time he looks at me, he sees this moment. And remembers how horrible it was and can't look at me anymore without wanting to do drugs to forget? Will our love for each other fix that?

Alex: I blamed myself for Hannah because I didn't stop it, even if I didn't know. Justin blames himself for what Bryce has done. Hannah blamed others and herself for her life. And you see the trend? Every one of us tried to take ourselves out of the equation.

Chloe: He gets it from the same place Bryce told him about when he couldn't get it from you. (runs her fingers through her hair) I've never tried to talk to the guy myself, but I know who it is just because I had dated Bryce and he liked to hear himself talk. If Justin can get past his memories, he can get past the addiction. That is the key.

Jeff: oh my god yes. I'd have rather had Clay here telling me in his awkward little way what I'm doing wrong.

JUSTIN | :
I know, Clay. After today, I think I am actually done with the drugs
I need help. I need to go to rehab. Somewhere that'll help me.

SHERI | :
there's a step. You need it Justin. This time, you died. We were all
lucky enough that the medicine they gave you to reverse the heroin
helped bring you back...

JUSTIN | :
( nods ) help me find a place guys?

KAT | :
I know. ( sighs and wraps her arms around him ) hopefully we can
all get past this after this happened.

ZACH | :
( grabs her hand to give it a quick squeeze ) you go with whatever
your heart tells you to do. Whatever is best for you. I know you will
make the right decision.

MONTY | :
The kid needs to seek help. I am sure Clay would help him.
And Clays parents.

VALENTINA | :
( laughs ) he hasn't been around you much lately.

Clay: I can talk to my mom and figure out a good place. I haven't even told her about what happened today, I should probably do that (starts to walk away and walks back) Do you want me to send anyone else in?

Melanie: How can you be so sure? I always fight for him. I don't know what else to do.

Alex: I wonder if Bryce was gone if it would get better


Chloe: (nods) we share a therapist. So I know they were trying. I think sometimes you need more than one thing to help you get better. And it helps having people supporting whatever decision you make.

Jeff: got a girlfriend and ditched me.

JUSTIN | :
can you send Mel in?

KAT | :
The world would be such a better place without that asshole

ZACH | :
Do what's best for Melanie De LA Cruz.

VALENTINA | :
Whattttt? He finally got a girlfriend?

MONTY | :
I get what you mean. Thanks

Clay: (nods) dont get stressed while I'm gone. Nurse will blame me. (Walks back out to waiting room) Mel he wants to see you (takes out his phone to fill his mom in)

Melanie: (nods to zach before standing up and walking to Justin's room, walking in quietly) never again. I swear to god (walks to his bedside, fighting tears)

Alex: well we have our work cut out for us

Chloe: I do make sense sometimes

Jeff: I was surprised too. Sheri at that.
